What does the training programme offer?
Sessions on understanding the subject with experts. Such as, the science and politics of climate change. Extreme weather events. Where are the impacts being felt. And what is the latest (such as the expected projections in the forthcoming IPCC report).
Interactive sessions. On sourcing and identifying stories. Reporting and writing. Understanding linkages between a local and a global story. Interpreting climate data. Talking climate on social media.
Signature sessions with seasoned practitioners. Down To Earth and its reportage on climate change. Experiences from the field. Finding the ‘good’ climate story.
Who is the training programme for?
Young journalists. Students of journalism and mass communications.
What will it cost you?
Only the cost of your tickets, if you are travelling to Delhi from another city.
CSE will support the stay and travel cost from Delhi to Nimli and back. We will pick you up in Delhi from a pre-designated spot on June 19th morning.
Where will the training programme be conducted?
In our state of art, residential training facility in Nimli, Alwar district, Rajasthan, with the magnificent Aravallis forming the backdrop.
When do you have to reach/be in Delhi for joining this training programme?
CSE buses will start from Delhi for Nimli on the early morning (7 AM) of June 19th. You should reach Delhi any time before that. Trainees would be dropped back in Delhi on June 21st by late evening.

What is the medium of instruction in the training programme?
English mainly, and Hindi. Briefing material would mostly be in English.
