A next generation media startup ‘Local Wire’, funded by U.S. based investment firm Multipoint Capital needs senior and junior level journalists

Local Wire focuses on local and hyper local news. This new media outlet will provide budding and experienced journalists an extremely broad scope to demonstrate their creativity.

Since the core of this venture is to remain impartial, independent and free from bias, that every journalist seeks today, I hope you will be happy to see former IIMC students working at such a place that gives them unlimited opportunities to practice real journalism.

We are looking for both senior and junior level journalists for our newsroom. We have roles covering both deskwork and fieldwork. Young journalists will also receive strong mentorship.

We will hire freshers as trainees for four months at a fixed monthly fee of Rs.7, 000-10,000 each and enhance the amount based on their performance.

The seniors will be hired based on their experience and skill. The selection will be done through an informal screening process.
