Film and Photography Festival

School of Communication (SoC), GD Goenka University (GDGU), Haryana, INDIA in collaboration with Institut Français and Ambassade De France En Inde is organizing its 1st International Film & Photography festival ‘Fotographia 2017’ on 10th Nov 2017. More than 200 schools and media colleges/ universities  from across the globe are expected to participate in the upcoming festival.

It would be a matter of great pride and encouragement for not only us but our students also if your esteemed University were to associate with us by sharing your student’s films for the festival. At SoC, we firmly believe in encouraging and honoring emerging student filmmakers whose independent voices reflect the human condition with creativity and respect.

We, therefore, invite all current university students of film and media to submit their films for the upcoming fest. The main theme of the Fotographia 2017 is ‘‘Celebrating Life’ and we are interested in your stories and the way you can convey them: that’s why the main competition will accept a mix of fiction, documentary and animation films, without distinctions of genre.  

By way of an update on the organizers of the Media Festival, I would like to inform you that the festival is an initiative and a part of the series of activities organized by the School of Communication (SoC), GD Goenka University to equip students with hands-on experience of the prevailing trends & practices in Media and Mass Communication. In SoC we believe in imparting knowledge to the students in a broad range of media careers with a view to preparing them for a future career in Journalism and Mass Communication. Our unique teaching pedagogy gives students an insight into the vast field of mass media and communication. We offer a bouquet of courses from Bachelors to Ph.D. 

Let me also take this opportunity to introduce India's renowned private University GD Goenka's University (GDGU) to you. The mission of the university is to prepare globally competent graduates through Interdisciplinary project-based learning with the focus on innovation and research that improve employability and association with top-ranked institutions and leading industries that facilitate an exchange of scholars and joint research.
