MICA invites applications for admission to the seventh batch of its doctoral-level ‘Fellow Programme in Management – Communications’ (FPM-C). FPM-C is an AICTE APPROVED, three-year, full-time, residential programme.
The only programme of its kind in India, FPM-C was launched in the year 2010. It aims at producing holistic communication and marketing scholars to cater to the growing need for academicians and researchers in the Communication and marketing discipline in India and elsewhere.
Programme Salience
MICA’s FPM-C produces “Fellows of Communication” who meet the international norms of research and education in communication; the FPM focus is on theory and, hence, critical thinking, argument development, knowledge gaps identification, problem formulation and report writing.
FPM-C Students spend one term at an overseas university department assigned to an eminent communication academician/researcher.
FPM-C students are provided fellowship which includes fee waiver and stipend. They are required to work as Research/Teaching Assistants for the fellowship.
MICA’s fellows are working with top academic/research institutions in the country.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have a UGC/AIU/AICTE approved Post Graduate/Master’s Degree/equivalent qualification with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade in the field of management/communications/huma nities/ or social science. Exposure and understanding of Marketing, Media, Public Relations, Advertising and/or Journalism shall be an added advantage.
The candidate should have also completed a UGC/AIU/AICTE approved three-year Bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification after completing higher secondary (10+2) or equivalent. The Bachelor’s degree can be from any discipline (Engineering/ Science/ Social Studies/ Arts/ Commerce/ Communication/ Management/ or Media).
Foreign nationals and NRIs with non-Indian degrees that are considered equivalent (by UGC/AIU/AICTE) to the qualifications listed above are also eligible to apply for the programme.

Selection Process
Stage 1: Telephone interviews for eligible candidates.
Stage 2: Shortlisted candidates appear for MICA’s FPM Admission Test. FPM Admission Test is a three-day process organised at MICA campus comprising of Written Test, Individual Presentation and Personal Interview.
